Sunday Cinema – “Life on Mars”

Life

One of Jen the Intern’s favorite television series that was canceled to early. Lasting only 17 episodes, “Life on Mars” was a sort of science-fiction crime show that found Detective Sam Tyler living and working in 1973 NYC after being struck by a car in 2008. The show was very ambiguous in regards to why Sam was in 1973 and the original pilot was rewritten/reshot with different actors.

This is the unaired US pilot of “Life on Mars” with Colm Meaney (of “Star Trek:TNG” fame) in the role of Lt. Gene Hunt, of whom was replaced by Harvey Keitel when the series launched. It is a remake of a successful UK series.

Someone was cool enough to post the unaired pilot on YouTube for you to enjoy!
