For the month of July (after a month hiatus), Sunday Cinema is focusing on films with either “heat” or “hot” in their title. From obscure movies to a television show parody, the choices span decades…

Dom Deluise was a staple of 1970’s & early 1980’s comedies. Often portrayed as the “sidekick”, in his directorial debut (!) he takes the lead as an undercover sting officer with a pitiful arrest record. Together with Suzanne Pleschette & Jerry Reed, they take over a pawn shop in the hopes of getting that “big score”. Interestingly enough, Dom cast his real-life wife and oldest son as his character’s wife/son…

Some kind soul posted this almost lost gem online for all to enjoy!
