Sunday Cinema – “Mausoleum”

Young Susan Walker has been possessed by a demon passed down through the generations of her family for over 300 years. Now it’s up to her husband and a psychiatrist to find out how to exorcise the demon before it’s too late…
The only “major” stars of this creep-fest are Marjoe Gortner (former child evangelist/shyster) and LaWanda Page (Aunt Esther from “Sanford & Son”). A staple of video stores, the box art creeped us the heck out when we saw it on the shelf…
Someone posted this online in all it’s cheesy b-movie glory.
Looting the Looter
Georgia lawmaker claims being berated at supermarket by “white man”. Thing is, this “white man” was really a Cuban-American Democrat. She also couldn’t remember exactly what was said but says she was certain he said “go back or something along those lines“…
This wasn’t her first #Racist rodeo, she claimed racism last year at a Westin resort. There was no public resolve and she has since deleted the tweets…
Miss Michigan loses title due to “racist” tweets from prior to her entering contest…
How much longer before the video game industry suffers a major crash?
Abuse or just “working the system”? 30 million air miles??? Wow!
Back when the pod started, we tried to get in on the “Loot Crate” sales wagon by promoting it on our podcast in the hopes of getting a free subscription that we could share with our listeners. Over the last year, Loot Crate has slowly begun that downward slide into bankruptcy. Sending sub-par items, repeat items, & not even sending crates! However, they maintain an A+ rating with the BBB despite having 87% negative reviews.

Sunday Cinema – “Tourist Trap”

Starring Chuck Connors and hailed as a “sleeper gem” by Stephen King, a group of teens end up at a weird roadside attraction. The owner is psychotic and even worse, has telekinetic powers which he uses to take care of the teens one by one.
This film was Chuck’s hope of restarting his career as a Boris Karloff-type villain, but unfortunately it was largely panned at the box office. Part of it may have to do with it’s PG rating, the director mentioned in an interview that he was shocked it got a PG and felt it would have done better at the theater if it had an R rating.
Someone posted an HD version of the film online for others to enjoy!
Immigration Blues
A third-party agreement may be signed between the US & Guatemala would send asylum seekers to Guatemala rather than being detained in the US. There is a similar agreement with Canada…
A small caravan of immigrants broke down a border fence between Guatemala & Mexico last October…
Mexico has VERY restrictive controls on foreigners, including not having the right to own land or be involved in the political process…
It does happen, children are sold/abducted in order to help illegal immigrants get into the US as “families”…
From what little Google-Fu we did, there are other countries that deal with illegal immigration but not to the degree the US does (many of the countries deal with “overstayers” – those who came in legally but did not leave when they were required to…

Sunday Cinema – “Teeth”

Dawn is a unique young lady still learning about her body. When she is subjected to some male violence, she finds out that she has something that other women don’t and uses it to lash out…
Certainly an oddball horror film as the plot and “strange” addition to Dawn’s bodily make up makes any male cringe.
Someone from another country posted this English-speaking film but subtitled it in another language.

Sunday Cinema – “Funeral Home”

A young woman visits her grandmother to help her convert the family home into a bed & breakfast. Thing is, the family home used to be a funeral parlor. Once opened, guests begin disappearing. Will she find the killer before its too late?
With pretty much a cast of nobodies, with the exception of Kay Hawtrey of whom you might remember from a few of the “Police Academy” movies, but more recently as the voice of “Grandma” in the cartoon series “Max & Ruby”.
Someone posted this oddball horror movie online for all to witness…
