Sunday Cinema – Live & Smokin’

For the month of August on “Sunday Cinema” we will be looking at the comedy specials our parents didn’t want us to see. Comedians who are the true “kings of comedy” that made us laugh and changed the comedic landscape forever…

Probably the first recorded special of Richard Pryor, this video was released in 1985 but recorded in 1971. Here is his raw genius onstage making people laugh. We remember his later special, “Richard Pryor: Live on the Sunset Strip”, which is available as an audio recording if you search for it.
