Sunday Cinema – Wackiest

All this month on “Sunday Cinema” we are looking at military movies because they contain a groaner of a dad joke (“What is the military’s favorite day? March 4th!”)…

The Wackiest Ship in the Army

A Lieutenant is tricked into commanding a terrible crew aboard a horrible ship to complete a mission that could save hundreds of lives. Starring Jack Lemmon and singing heartthrob Ricky Nelson, the film actually did well at the box office.

Welcome to the BK Lounge

The boys talked about their experiences with fast food, reminded MattyV of Dane Cook’s bit

Ricky & the Boss on TikTok is hilarious…

So is Mike & his supervisor

The reviews of the rebooted “Road House” movie are brutal and brutal

We hope the next chapter of the series doesn’t fall victim to wokeism…

Sunday Cinema – Hero

Too Late the Hero

Occupying opposite sides of an island in the Pacific, a group of British soldiers are tasked with destroying an enemy radio post that doesn’t go as planned.

Starring Michael Caine & Cliff Robertson, it was one of a spate of World War II movies of the early 1970s that tried to capitalize on the success of “Kelly’s Heroes”.

Bish, Really?

Seth Rogen says he and his wife don’t want kids because they enjoy laying in bed naked smoking weed & watching movies…

How will this be ruined? “This is Spinal Tap 2″ is starting filming and will have cameos featuring Paul McCartney, Elton John, Questlove, Trisha Yearwood, and others. Rob Reiner is directing and will play Marti DiBergi…

TikTok just might have proved Congress’ point about being a national security threat with their latest stunt. They sent a push notification to enter your zip code and a “call now” button which would immediately call your congress member’s office. Now if they can do this, what else can they do?

Good grief. From LeBron’s school having low test scores to now Kobe’s statue having spelling errors

Kind of reminds me of the movie, “Career Opportunities“…

Subjecting animals to such grueling conditions I think is inhumane. If people want to do this to themselves, have at it…

Here’s Gretchen Wilson & Alice in Chains doing “Barracuda” live

Here’s the article Dan the Man referenced as far as the 30 bands that should not be in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, MattyV found a similar article as well

Sunday Cinema – Leader

All this month on “Sunday Cinema” we are looking at military movies because they contain a groaner of a dad joke (“What is the military’s favorite day? March 4th!”)…

Platoon Leader

Lieutenant Jeff Knight, fresh out of West Point commands no respect from his platoon in Vietnam until he is wounded and wises up.

This was one of a plethora of Vietnam-era movies that had popped up because of the popularity of Oliver Stone’s film “Platoon”. Starring Michael Dudikoff (of the “American Ninja” film series), it was an okay film.

Letdown Merry Go Round

(What’s wrong with this picture?)

Letdown Merry Go Round

There are rules of the road for bicyclists

And pedestrian rules of the road

Depending where you live, there are rules of the road for e-bikes as well

Neilsen’s ratings are showing people are looking to older shows to watch rather than the newer ones for the most part. There are new rules apparently for shows which may be the reason why…

The “Willy’s Chocolate Experience” in Glasgow, wasn’t. Charging people $45 for what was to be a “chocolate fantasy” and the “movie come to life” instead was a warehouse filled with sadness. Using props & costumes from what looked like a local party store, one of the characters “The Unknown” actually scared children. An actress dubbed “a methed-out Oompa-Loompa” and the actor hired to play Willy Wonka did speak out on the event and how awful it was.

Sunday Cinema – “Ryker”

All this month on “Sunday Cinema” we are looking at military movies because they contain a groaner of a dad joke (“What is the military’s favorite day? March 4th!”)…

Sergeant Ryker

Lee Marvin stars as the title character, accused of defecting to the commies and returning as a spy. He is court-martialed and given a death sentence. His lawyer attempts to get Ryker a new trial believing him to be innocent.

The film also stars Vera Miles (“Psycho”) and Norman Fell (“Three’s Company”) among other well-known actors.
