Sunday Cinema – “Back to School Mr. Bean”
Continuing with this month’s theme of “back to school” episodes, we share this one of a British comedy that wasn’t too widely received here in the states. “Mr. Bean” starring Rowan Atkinson (of “Black Adder” fame) is a bumbling gentleman that seems to get into the strangest predicaments. This episode finds Mr. Bean going back to school and all the hilarity that ensues when an adult tries to make it through a typical student’s day.

Sunday Cinema – “Back 2 School”
This week’s “Sunday Cinema” looks at an episode of “Boy Meets World” where Corey and the gang survive the first day of high school. Many fond (and no-so-fond) memories of those times seem to erupt throughout the episode, at least for us.

Sunday Cinema – “Square Pegs”
For September we thought we would commorate the first day of school for many kids across the country (sucks to be those kids that started in August! We kid, we kid!) with some school-themed television episodes.
“Square Pegs” was a short-lived television series trying to cash in on the wave of teen/high school movies that had seen success. With a theme song by the popular nu-wave group The Waitresses and starring a very young Sarah Jessica Parker, the show focused on a couple of teen girls bent on becoming a part of the “popular” clique at school. Jami Gertz also makes her debut, you may remember her from ‘The Lost Boys” or “Less than Zero”.
